Brief:
Build Nykredit's new HQ in a timelapse fashion over the course of one day.
Solution:
The internationally renowned architectural firm Schmidt, Hammer & Lassen supplied us with a detailed 3D model of the new building.
On the day of shooting we shot the main camera and a light probe of the sky simultaneously. This basically meant we had HDRI footage to very closely match the lighting of the live action plate in 3D.
We then animated the geometry, shaded and lit it and finally composited the 3D renders on to the plate (roto/color tweaks) for a seamless integration with the liveaction material.
Lead Flame artist Jan Tvilling from Duckling A/S added a timeramp, flares, smoke and greenscreen elements to the shot and finished it off with a "Nykredit" style black and white grading.
