We were asked by Bacon X to create animated medical instruments for this crazy swiss army knife phone, created for German insurance company Ergo Direkt.
The shots where the equipment had to interact with the actor were done in camera, so we worked extra hard to make sure that it wouldn't be possible to tell the practical and the digital effects apart. Matchmoving, modelling, texturing, shading, lighting and compositing all had to be spot-on in order to match the liveaction counterparts. We are pretty happy with the result.
